Welcome to my first blog

Welcome to my new blog page. As the author of The FBI Wife I’m pleased to have you visit with me about my memoir and upcoming writing projects. This project is very special to me, and I hope to share some of that excitement with you here.

I’ll be using this blog to interact with you about The FBI Wife, expanding on some of the topics in it and blogging on some of the ideas related to my memoir.  What did you think of The FBI Wife? What questions do you have for me? How do you relate to my book?

I’ll be returning here frequently with new posts and feedback responses. Until next time, tell me a little bit about yourself.

  1. Sandy, thank you for this incredibly powerful book. It takes much courage to open up so honestly and make yourself that vulnerable. I can’t even imagine your journey, going back to all the pain and loss and frustration, as you dug deep into your past to write this book. Your book pulled me in and I couldn’t put it down. I cried with you through the many challenges you faced, and honestly don’t know how you kept going. I married and moved to Glenwood the end of 1968. My son was a year old when you moved to Glenwood Springs. When you described going there for the very first time, and ending up in No Name, I could see the things you saw. I had forgotten about how rustic Glenwood Canyon was all those years ago. When you described fall as your favorite time of year, I got chills remembering how much I loved fall in Glenwood. I was with you as you enjoyed skiing alone at Sunlight. I also skiied alone at Sunlight sometimes, although not as often as you did. It was a healing, wonderful place. Going alone was like magic for me, soothing my soul and giving me peace. I also have so many memories of family times there, as well. I live in
Longmont now. I still forget and say “Glenwood” instead of Longmont. I’ve been away from Glenwood for 19 years now,
but it’s where the home of my heart will always be. I thought maybe one of my children would choose to go back there, but my son is in Sacramento and my daughter is in Missouri. I hope your children are happy and have wonderful lives. And I’m so happy you seem to have found a really good and happy life. One vivid memory I have of you is helping Sharon Graves at Through the Looking Glass and you came in to buy some books. It’s like a snapshot in my mind. Thank you for helping me remember the Glenwood of the most important era of my life. You have no idea all that your book has given me. Part of it is a new awareness of what it’s like for family members of agencies like the FBI; thinking of what others go through on their journeys through life; and so many good memories stirred up and brought to the surface for me, personally.Thank you, again.

  4. You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and extremely broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I?ll try to get the hang of it! Danya Fonz Emilio

  5. My spouse and I stumbled over here different page and thought I might check things out. I like what I see so i am just following you. Look forward to looking over your web page yet again. Jaime Pen Lengel

  6. I was wondering if you ever considered changing the layout of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better? Ted Lonnie Lienhard
